A grain bin on the quiet Montana plains somewhere near Denton, Montana.
The grain bins are full all over north central Montana. Every farmer seems to indicate that it was a good year. While many were worried that the winter snows were not enough to keep the fields most if there had not been much rain this year, temperatures were mild and it did in fact rain a lot to keep the wheat healthy.
Grain bins like this are a common site here in Montana. Outside of the few villages that are in these parts, grains bins, wheat, and electrical poles are about the only things you see for miles around. It’s hard not stopping to photograph them in the absence of other topics. The good news is that they make it easy to practice different shooting styles. This is just one example. I hope you like it.
